Initially London doesn't usually follow trends because we try to make simple, classic products which are meant to last. However when we saw corduroy making appearances in trade shows and A/W trend forecasting we thought it would be a perfect addition to the Winter product line.
To celebrate the formal launch of our Berwick Wash Bag the Wednesday team came in in their own corduroy outfits, and designed some wash bags with font styles and thread colours that they were drawn to. Take a look at the combinations chosen.
It's Florence's first week! She is joining Holly and Natalia on the customer, marketing and trade side of the business as our new Studio Assistant. Her Berwick Bag shows Typewriter font, how amazing does the Burgundy thread look against the Teal bag - plus it matched the amazing trousers!
Jane chose her all-time favourite font - Intertwined, in a pretty Baby Pink thread. Classic and timeless!
Clarissa chose the decorative Freida font which is one of our bespoke offerings, not yet on the website preview tool. We love the tonal colours chosen - it's like the bag was made for the design!
Natalia's Pink Berwick looks super feminine with out floral Flower Font, in Baby Blue. This is a lovely font if you are going for just one initial, and would like it to make a strong impact alone.
I chose one of our newer fonts Charcuterie in Baby Blue. With thick fonts you get a really gorgeous texture of the stitches, I love this on top of the linear corduroy texture.
Poppy's Berwick shows Algerian font in our Copper thread, it gives the bag a really different feel, traditional and classic.
Rosie showed how the Grey Berwick can also have a more understated, charming look, with our cursive Lindsay Font in Linen thread.
Who was your favourite? We'd love to hear in the comments! We can't wait to see the array of designs our customers think up over the Winter season.
